Job Summary and Qualifications

To ensure the delivery of optimal patient care through the coordination of clinical activities, staff supervision, personnel leadership/management, and unit organization. Demonstrates a service excellence approach and communicates this expectation to staff. Demonstrates fiscal responsibility by achieving financial objectives of designated unit(s). Leads and coaches the development and growth of a safety culture in the department.

What you will do in this role: 

• Achieves professional goals set during previous evaluation period
• Demonstrates professional behavior and conduct at all times
• Demonstrates and maintains good employee/peer relationship and teamwork
• Prioritize work and duties and must work well under stressful situations
• Demonstrate good communication and customer service skills with patients, families, physicians, peers and healthcare team
• Demonstrates accountability for direct patient care, applies nursing process, prioritizes care and evaluates outcome
• Participates and facilitates in the discharge planning process and assists with decreasing readmissions
• Documents all aspects of pateint care efficiently, accurately and per policy recommendations.
• Delegate's patient care to license/ non licensed nursing staff, based on acuity, needs of patient, staff availability and qualifications
• Participates in Performance Improvement activity
• Provides leadership support in day-day clinical unit operations and supports a culture of safety on the unit 

What qualifications you will need:

• Advanced Cardiac Life Spt
• Basic Cardiac Life Support
• Registered Nurse
• Bachelors Degree required 
• 3 years nursing experience in an acute care setting.
