Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license and minimum 1+ years Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A contract position for a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) is available in a preschool and childcare setting located in Waterford, MI. This role provides essential nursing support for young children, focusing on specialized care to promote health and safety within the school environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver 1:1 nursing care to students requiring medical support
  • Perform G-tube suctioning and tracheostomy (trach) care with precision and adherence to protocols
  • Monitor and assist students with minimal to no toileting needs
  • Maintain accurate documentation and communicate effectively with the care team and school staff
  • Comply with all district requirements, including obtaining a district badge and completing onsite fingerprinting

Qualities and Qualifications:

  • Current and valid LPN/LVN license
  • Experience in school nursing or pediatric nursing care preferred
  • Skilled in G-tube suctioning and tracheostomy care procedures
  • Ability to work independently and provide compassionate care to children
  • Understands and follows school district compliance and safety protocols

Schedule and Assignment Details:

  • Location: Preschool and childcare center in Waterford, MI
  • Part-time hours: 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM (half-day coverage)
  • Dates Needed: February 3, 9, 12, 17, 19; March 5, 11; April 7, 9, 10; May 7
  • Contract assignment with flexible scheduling tailored to school needs

Onboarding:

  • District badge and fingerprinting required prior to assignment start
  • Sub acceptance deadline by 8:00 AM or beginning of school day for each assignment date
