Job Summary and Qualifications

Prepares patients, collects relevant information for completion of procedures.

Performs all appropriate MRI procedures.

Observant of patients’ conditions.

Practices and enforces MRI safety as described in the department policies. Adheres to all appropriate hospital and regulatory policies and assists in maintaining accreditation.

Understands and operates electronic information systems.

Compiles appropriate records to expedite results.

Administers contrast media as required.

Participates in continuing education activities to expand/enhance knowledge of MRI and to meet the continuing education requirements of the ARRT.

Takes call after regular hours as assigned.

Maintains appropriate supplies.

Assures primary area is clean and organized. Assists in other areas of the department when not needed in primary area. Performs clerical and transport duties as needed.

Other duties as assigned.

What qualifications you will need:

EXPERIENCE
Required: Experience in Radiologic Technology
Preferred: One year dedicated MRI/CT experience.

EDUCATION
Required: Graduate of accredited school of Radiologic Technology. .
Preferred: As above, with successful completion of formal computer courses.

LICENSE/CERTIFICATION
Required: ARRT Registered. BLS within 90 days of employment.
Preferred: ARRT- MRI Registered
