Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit - Travel Registered Nurse

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 24 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience.

• Experience with Epic is preferred.

• 18 months of acute care experience.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Massachusetts license (required for submission).

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >30 miles from facility to be submitted.

• No current placement allowed at Program: Supplemental Program - Boston Medical Center (BMC).

Additional Details:

Prefer 1 reference from last travel assignment. Supervisor title not accepted.

Nurses Only - BMC does not have telemetry technicians. Candidates are required to take and pass an advanced Dysrhythmia exam after an offer is extended and before accepting (within 48 hours of offer). 2 attempts to pass. Passing score is an 80% or the minimum of the angoff score. Will accept a previously completed exam if it’s within 1 year of start date. Will also take a tele test day 1 of orientation.

Required Skills/Experience: Acute Medical Surgical; must be able to independently read and interpret telemetry rhythm strips. Tele test on day 1.

Preferred Skills/Experience: 2+ years with EPIC.

Unit/Facility Details: Patient ratio generally Days are 1:3 or 1:4 and Nights are 1:4 or 1:5.

Shift & Scheduling: Shift: D/N Rotation, E/O Weekend, E/O Holiday.

Must be available through 7/11 to help with July 4th holiday coverage.

7 days maximum time off
