Territory Sales Manager - Role Overview


As the Territory Sales Manager for a growing, innovation-driven manufacturer of spray foam and coatings for the roofing and insulation construction industry, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth by building trusted, long-term relationships with customers who value quality, technical expertise, and partnership, as you match their business challenges with the organization’s full-service capabilities (products, equipment, training, and support). The role is well suited for a self-directed sales professional who thrives in a technically informed, performance-oriented environment. You will ideally operate out of the Greater Chicago area, working the WI, IL, MI, IN, OH and some adjacent areas.


Territory Sales Manager - Key Responsibilities


  • Grow direct sales of spray foam and specialty coating products within the region.
  • Identify new business opportunities and expand share within existing accounts.
  • Develop strong relationships with contractors, distributors, and end users through consultative selling.
  • Represent the organization’s commitment to quality, safety, and innovation in every customer interaction.
  • Provide product and application guidance, supported by technical and training resources.
  • Coordinate with manufacturing, customer care, and technical teams to ensure seamless customer experience.
  • Maintain disciplined pipeline management, forecasting, and follow-through.
  • Ability to travel regularly within the Great Lakes region as required, ~50%.


Territory Sales Manager - Qualifications / Experience


  • Direct experience selling spray polyurethane foam (SPF) for wall insulation and roofing, and/or elastomeric roofing coatings (silicone, acrylic) required.
  • Related experience selling fluid coating systems, membrane roofing systems, and insulation boards/panels (e.g. fiberglass) is highly valued, but not essential.
  • Proven ability to operate independently, manage a territory, and close business.
  • Professional, motivated, and driven by results and long-term customer success.
  • College degree not required, but preferred.


Territory Sales Manager - Compensation & Benefits


  • Base salary: $90,000 – $125,000 (based on experience)
  • Commission tied to sales volume & margin, and uncapped.
