Job Summary and Qualifications

We are seeking a dynamic RN to join our Peri-operative team.As an RN inORsetting you willcollaborate with other members of the health careteamincluding physicians, to deliver quality health care.In thisroleyou will provide the best possible preventative and supportive intra-operative care to each patient based upon their individual needs. 

What you will do in this role: 

Recognize and address urgentand emergent surgical situation 

Foster continuity and quality of care in the best interests of patients 

Assess andmonitorpatients’ medical status while in the OR 

Assess patient’s condition andmonitorvitals, providing general nursing care 

Ensure the Operating Room is prepared with all necessary supplies, implants, instrumentation, and equipment  

Keep the operating room sterilized 

Review charts for completeness,in accordance withdocumentation protocols  

Communicate effectivelywith patients, teammates, and physicians to ensure continuity of care 

 

Requirements: 

Florida RN license and/or approved multistate RN licenserequired. Compact license holders have60 daysto obtain the Florida license after relocation. 

BLS-AHA Provider issued cardrequiredwithin30 daysof start 

Minimum1 yearpreviousperioperative experience or completion of Perioperative Nursing course preferred  

1 year of RN experience in anAcute Care environment preferred 

BSN is preferred 

ACLS,PALS (AHA Healthcare provider)requiredwithin 6 months of start 

CNORpreferred
