Job Description
Job Title: Manufacturing Technician
Location: Broadview, IL
Pay: Starting at $29 (dependent on experience)
Shift: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM OR 9:00 – 5:00 PM Monday through Friday
Position Summary
The Manufacturing Technician supports the Process Engineer and manufacturing teams by designing, fabricating, and implementing practical solutions that drive efficiency, organization, and visual management across the facility. This role is hands-on and focused on building and maintaining fixtures, carts, shadow boards, gages, and other CI tools that improve safety, quality, downtime, and productivity.
The CI Technician also supports Lean culture, 5S standards, and continuous improvement initiatives set by the Process Engineer throughout the plant.

Key Responsibilities
Fabrication & Implementation of CI Tools
- Prototype, build, install or modify fixtures, carts, racks, shadow boards, gages, visual management, and other CI tools to improve safety, quality, downtime, and productivity
- Supporting the Process Engineer on continuous improvement projects
- Maintain inventory, condition, and organization of hardware, gages, and CI tools
- Ensure tools and fixtures are properly stored, labeled, and accessible
- Track condition, calibration (if applicable), and replacement needs of gages
- Research materials and hardware required for CI projects
- Participate in safety initiatives and support corrective actions
Required
- Experience with hand tools, power tools, and basic fabrication
- Mechanical aptitude or ability to read basic drawings or sketches
- Experience building fixtures, carts, or production aids
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing / Continuous Improvement concepts (Kaizen, 5S, Lean wastes)
- Basic computer skills
- Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Welding and metal fabrication experience (MIG/TIG preferred)
