Job Description
Construction Equipment Operator
Performs semi-skilled work in the operation of moderately complex construction/maintenance equipment. An employee in this class is responsible for performing tasks of average difficulty involving the safe operation and routine maintenance of assigned equipment. Tasks, at times, are performed under hazardous conditions and employees are expected to be particularly alert and careful. Under general supervision, employees are required to exercise some initiative and independent judgment in completing assigned tasks. Work is reviewed while in progress and upon completion by observation and through results obtained.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma/GED
- One (1) year of experience in the operation of assigned equipment required; or an equivalent combination of education, training or experience.
- Must be able to read, write, and follow instructions.
- CDL Class A license required upon hire; tanker endorsement required upon hire or within 90 days of hire.
