Job Summary
Process and inspect raw meats and proteins within the Fresh Foods Manufacturing Commissary.Job Description
- Experience Required: 0 to 6 months
- Education Desired: High school diploma or equivalent
- Certification or Licensing Desired: Food Safety
- Lifting Requirement: Up to 50 pounds
- Age Required: At least 18 years old
Job Responsibilities:
- Documentation of volume metric yields, utilizing proper procedures and guidelines. Utilize both manual and automated methods to process meats.
- Control quality and production costs through strict adherence to recipes and production procedures, monitoring waste and loss, and improved work efficiencies.
- Detailed accuracy of staging, batching, and throughput metrics.
- Coordinate and perform equipment and plant Sanitation, as needed.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment by ensuring that all food safety, food holding, temperature, Giant Eagle and OSHA standards are met.
- Maintain accurate production records, HACCP and QA documentation to ensure that all meet the federal, state, county and Company requirements.
- Inspect and evaluate equipment requirements to ensure efficiency and safety.
